If you launch at Monte and run upriver here are a couple of words of advice. 1) Do not go fast. Most of the logs are pointed downstream and would be catostrophic it hit at speed. 2)Do not do it in the dark until you know with your eyes closed where the stumps, submerged pilings and rock piles are. 3) For the first time run up at the lowest tide you can get. This will allow you to see where all the hazards are. I am still amazed at a minus tide that I haven't hit more times than I have. As you travel upstream and get to the mill stay far right. There are logs and submerged uglies on just about every corner. Be cautious. It looks like an easy run but there are boat sinkers everywhere. Good luck.
