I've always like to run two #2 red gami's for winters and even down to 4's or 6's during the summer. Tie your hooks about an inch and a half to two inches apart and then take the shrimp and fold the tail over a half inch and run the top hook through the fold. Then take the bottom and run it through the middle of the head. Then always break off the claw to make the bait track straighter and to make the shrimp look less agressive. This has always been a good method for me no matter how I fish shrimp, " even under a float".
