Of course any commercial fishery of spring chinook is entirely stupid and makes absolutely no economic sense, but I'm not surpised. I hope that means 50% of the ESA allowed take, which they will probably overexceed in just a few days, and I really hope that WDFW pays attention so the nets are pulled in time this year and we are not left with a shortened season like last year - BTW WDFW - why aren't you giving us any of that back . I also hope ODFW does not cave in on this and holds the commercials down to a smaller allocation.

BTW welcome Mary, we do shoot messengers here but we are generally fishermen, not hunters, and are lousy shots, so you will probably survive :p
