If you read the PI article(http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/156714_warning15.html), it lists other foods with PCBs. Both butter and tuna have more PCBs than puget sound salmon.

Many foods we eat have significant levels of pcbs including pork and beef.

These pollutants permeate our entire food supply. This is not a salmon specific problem, its a problem with the whole food supply. Its certainly going to be a problem for quite some time as PCBs don't really break down very quickly in nature.

Personally, I don't plan on changing my salmon eating habits one bit. Although, I might cut back on the butter a little bit.
