Actually there is a concerted effort to raise wages in this country. Many politicians want to raise the minimum wage to $10. Now that minimum wage would cover the jobs the illegals take along the border states especially. Washington State has the highest minumum wage at I think $7.15hr. The reason things are being outsourced and illegals are coming here by the millions is that Americans have lived so long with the government giving to them and unions fighting for them that they constantly want more and more and more...

I am biased I guess as I have very rarely been paid a wage in my life. I don't punch the clock and don't belong to a union or work for a state or federal agency.
