President's Message from Stephen Barrett

It's time to get the Eastside Chapter up and running! Our chapter will serve the Bellevue, Redmond, Sammamish and Kirkland communities of boaters and anglers. We seek a blend of the ole fishing pros along with those who are new to the sport of fishing.

Our February meeting will be the organizing meeting before our official launch in March. We invite anyone who would like to help in any manner to attend this start up session. At this meeting, the organizing board will share its vision for the chapter, get input from attendees and will develop teams of people who can participate in kicking off the first meeting.

Already we have over 40 people who have expressed a desire to join the Eastside Chapter.

As with most of the PSA chapters, we will blend educational speakers, annual events, special programs, chapter outings and participation in the regional derbies. Members will get to learn more, share fishing stories and have fun with others who share the passion of fishing.

One of the most well received ideas for the chapter's activities is an annual fishing outing for children dealing with disabling illnesses.
