Well Brat, I'm sure the experts will guide you well as far as the rod. Alevin, I have spent too many days in Fred Meyer and am laughing at your post. I was just inquiring about a custom rod. but still feel if you can fish that any rod will do (no comments necessary). I showed up with first a clipped off trout pole for silvers, then got a big salmon rod, then went back to Fred Meyers for an emmergiency rod. Last guy I talked to said to get a shorter, lighter rod. There was no prices and I was anxious to fish. Took the gal an hour to get a price check on a 10 dollar trout rod. 65 she said. Even the guy in back of me groaned and said it was worth 6 bucks. My first silver was off of it. Glory day. Went down to the zipperlip and Codfather says "Oh, ya brought your trout rod!" Whatever, I knew no different and now am looking at good rods and still tell them that I caught lots of fish and never knew what kind of rod it was. Girls, go figure. Wishing you luck with the new rod, I'll probably never hit it on the head but the old reaL men can catch on just hooks!
