I've been keeping on top of Westport herring, or I should say lack of herring - I have caught exactly 2 in 3 trips and my contacts out there report 0 success. They may not come in this year at all, and all spawn up the Elk River instead, as they used to in past years, although they spawn until April 15, so it's not over yet. Real bummer with the price of bait
