I paint and repaint a lot of my own spoons. I use the Dick Nite paints available at most tackle stores. If you are going to use the glow in the dark make sure and use the white undercoat first. If you are painting over raw metal colors you will probably have to use it anyhow to make the colors lighter. I bought an air brush and haven't used it yet. The Dick Nite Lure Coat is just lacquer paint and drywa fast. Keep lacquer thinner around to thin it down if it gets thick after several uses and for clean up. My spoons are usually really big ocean and saltwater spoons. These are easier to paint then smaller spoons. If you put it on thick with a brush it will run together. I hang them as soon as I paint them and let them blend and dry.
