McCain really is a big boost for Bush. Everyone at my site was pretty bummed that McCain couldn't stop by. They didn't really care if Bush did, but they wished McCain could have. One of my co-workers whose husband is a battalion commander of a Stryker unit in Iraq attended the speech. She said it went well and was a good morale booster for the troops. The bad part was sticking 5000 people in a small hangar on an 80 degree day. But that makes for much better photo op and sound bites.
