I am not for farm subsidies at all.
Most farm subsidies do not not work like you think they do. They ususally pay people not to plant. The poeple I know on that list are well off and do not need the subsidies. They get paid 400k over 10 year not to plant wheat and then they plant grapes returning 10x what the wheat would have. They would have done it anyhow.
