I have always believed Maxima is overrated. Sure it’s strong. Unless you consider that their 10 lb lines are really 13-14. It bugs me that manufacturers advertise their 10 lb line is stronger than someone else’s. Isn't 10 lb line supposed to break at about 10 lbs.? Or said in another way you can't get 10 lbs of shait in a 5 lb bag.

Maybe I can make a .25 diameter line that breaks at 40 lbs strain ands call it the worlds' strongest 10 lb line!

A fair comparison would seem to be 10 lb Maxima Ultragreen to another brands 14 pound line.


I think Vince’s teats are awesome. It would be great if we could also get info on memory and abrasion resistance.
