I have fished there a couple of times. First timers have trouble locating fish because of the size of the reservoir, various structure patterns, and what fish to target. Watch out for the wind, 3' to 4' swells with white caps. This time of year I would target trout, there are some big ones out there. Walleye are said to caught at this time of year, but I have never done well on walleyes. Might be to early for bass but you might hit one in the mouth with a jig or crank bait.
