My dad was born and raised in Sekiu and was a good friend of the Olsen's. We moved to Seattle because Dad could not make a living out there and when the WDF started screwing around with the seasons that pretty much wipped out Sekiu in the early late 70's and early 80's.
Olsens owns the place and can afford to run it, anyone paying the prices would go down in flames as it would cost to much to run it if you did not already own the land and business free and clear.
Same thing happened at Curlys and Van Ripers.
The State would screw you 2 out of 3 years and you cannot run a business with a bunch of idiots controling your seasons.
