FOT,

mreyns has covered everthing from Sequim to Port Angeles for the most part!!! Other good areas to try are off any of the creek mouths including McDonald Creek and Morse Creek! If moored outta John Wayne Marina in Sequim, u have several good halibut haunts there that i'm very familiar with growing up here most of my life!!! Hein Bank, Partridge Bank, Eastern Bank and Dallas Bank can all be good spots! Dallas Bank doesn't put out a huge number of fish, but the fish here are usually quality fish averaging 60lbs and many in the 100lb class! Eastern Bank puts out quite a number of fish, but haven't seen any bigger than 80lbs come from there! Hein Bank is also a good bet but again, not usually big fish, but have seen a biggun or two come from there! Partridge is again like Hein and Eastern, but not fished as heavy! Other spots to try incude the troph at or around the red bouy directly off Dungeness Spit and the Green Can just to the Northwest of the Spit!!! U were saying that u CNR'd 4 butts during blackmouth season at Coyote well, as mreyns said, go back there! U said that u weren't convinced they are thick there well, in the strait, halibut is not a garuntee on anyday, and ur never gonnna get into them thick like u would in AK!!! Most i've heard of in a day is 7! Coyote is a good producer at times! Good luck and if u need additional info i'd be happy to help, for i know the strait from Sequim to Neah and Northward!!!
