I was on a small arms range one time firing a 9 and a round came back and landed in my helmet laying behind me.

Another time I was on a 249 lay'n some lead out and a Bradley was firing it's 25 and coax about a quarter click north of us, the rounds from the coax were peppering our position after richocheting off the metal post from the target they were firing at. The lanes from the both ranges nearly intersected. The range officer should have realized we should have never been there. A dood laying next to me feeding ammo had his helmet cover tomahawked off his head. After that we took cover.
