Some good advice here!!

I know I've taken a winter fish or 3 on spinners, as I always have one rigged-up in the DB & cast it while we are on the move. I use it as a "searching tool" hitting that in-between water that doesn't look good enough to drop the hook & work over with the other stuff...plugs/ bait/jigs/drift gear.

I throw a size #4 in steelie green water, sometimes down to a #3 if its super clear.

As stated above don't think color is a big factor, if you put it in the right spot w/ the right fish around he's going to smash it.....
