Very true. I think when I was just learning how to fish steelhead I took his book a little too seriously and got paranoid about how selective these fish were supposed to be. That probably stunted my growth a little. If you're talking nates then it couldn't be further from the truth.

I think the best advice with this lure is to bust out a spinner and if you're not covering specific cover like wood, then cover the water quickly. Don't make the same cast twice, and use it as a searching pattern,
