One happy kid with his first triple. Ended up breaking two Lami's and the net that day. He lifted straight up and tryed to pull the second fish into the boat without the net, oops, snap. Dipped the fish, whew.

BIggest fish was right up to the boat when a Sea Lion did a drive by on him, sounded hard, oops, snap. I took the broken rod handed the boy the net to salvage this carnage and he got the fish netted. Great job. Picked the net straight up, oops, crack.

One of the greatest days we've had together without his little brother. Took the rods to woodland. Wasn't there 20 minutes back out the door good as new. Whatta day.

Thanks for the comments from all ya. I did purposely go out a little lite regarding the Rods. It was one of those "I'm your guide son, you fish" adventures. Your wood dowel commnet brought a HUGE smile to me due to
actually contemplating the same thing before leaving. I took the old net with the shorter handle that had already been tweaked a bit on the closing end of the hoop. We took 2 Lami's and 2 Ugly Stick TIger Rods. Finished the cruise with the Tiger Rods. That day really defined me in regards to just how much pleasure I get from getting the boys hooked up and let the show begin. Making leaders, telling stories, cleaning up the scales and blood, cooking some eggs and sausage, and potatoes on the coleman, getting the cards punched, bait back up and "remember about" how many pulls you were
The whole gambit. I just really enjoy watching the action from the other side of the fence now. Tighten your drag! Let let let, let out some slack! Don't screw this up, it looks like a dandy, hee hee. Too much fun. And yes, Lami hooked this boy up big time. Told them exactly what happended and they dug into thier barrell of tops and bottoms and got us all squared away. Very appreciative and will definately continue to by fish specific rods from them. Now if I could just talk them into that old broken broom handle in the back .

Done pretty darn good by me. Hard to knock a manufacturer that's treated you well through the years.
