Gordy is a long-time guide in the Forks area who suffered a long fall from a cliff into some rocks early this summer. Somewhat of a mentor to me, he was the second person in Forks that I met and when I still lived in Seattle, I often stayed with he and his wife when coming out this way to fish.

He suffered very severe injuries and was not expected to even survive the accident. KIm has been caring for him since the accident and has been unable to work since June. Gordy is making slow progress but many years of tough rehab still lie ahead.

While we all joked about his mile-a-minute personality, they both are some of the nicest people you could ever meet and they are the type that would have done anything for anyone ... it's time to repay the favors
