Uncounted fish don't count against the quota, so whack 'em and stack 'em if no one will be counting them! laugh Hell, screw the limits at that point - as they are JUST hatchery fish. wink

If the fish managers don't want anglers to select for larger, higher quality fish, don't do a quota fishery. Open it up for X days and either allow a 1 or 2 fish limit on hatchery fish.

I'll stop selecting for the fish I whack in MA10 when the quotas stop. I'd rather fish longer in to the season than put a couple of doink nooks in the box.

I wonder how much money is dumped in to the local economy per day the MA 10 season is open?

Oh, and the quota is tiny, relatively speaking. Don't think anyone is worried as to what size/age brooders will make it back to the hatcheries. As good as we are, we can't catch them all - and it doesn't take very many fish for the hatchery to get their fill of eggs and males.
