Thank you for sending in your comments on the Draft Lead CAP. There is no proposed ban on lead ammunition in the Draft Lead CAP. We would like to work with hunters and shooters to promote non-toxic alternatives to lead without negatively affecting hunting or shooting areas.



We did not have someone representing shooting sports on the advisory committee. We tried to include a wide variety of people, but as we learned more about lead we realized that we needed to talk to even more people. WDFW was involved from the beginning. The WDFW representative came to the advisory committee meetings and was involved in the whole process. We were not trying to exclude anyone. The list of agency advisors is after the list of advisory committee members in the Draft CAP (page XVI). On the Lead CAP website (URL below) there is a link to a two page document that lists the advisory committee members on the first page and the agency advisors on the second page.
