I inherited a similar map myself this spring. The original owner made two or three trips a year and canned a hundred jars- enough to get him through the winter. Now i have the opportunity to check this place out for myself however I am completely new to the sport. Any tips? What do you carry them in? Any other means of preservation besides canning? Can you freeze them? I am excited- this weekend I am making the trip for sure.
