That was a funny moment when Justice Roberts flipped the phrasing of the oath, but Obama was a quick study. That was the formality. Of more interest was Obama's acceptance speech. I haven't listened to them all, but I think his will go down as one of the better, along with JFK, T. Roosevelt, and whomever else gave a notable one. Maybe it's because of the economic upheaval of the times we're in, but Obama aimed both barrels at literally every US citizen to step up and be a better citizen, from the greedy SOBs to the lazy-assed ne'er do wells, to us ordinary chumps who stay outa' the way, go about our business, and just go fishing occasionally to preserve our sanity. I thought it was just as inspiring as January 1961 when Miss Heaten marched our class 3 blocks to Jeannie Peterson's house (we didn't have TV in our school yet) to watch JFK's inaguration, in black & white, of course.
