My old Siberian Husky grew up around our cat that had no front claws. The dog used to screw with the cat relentlessly. The cat kept swiping at the dog's nose, but without claws the dog is unaffected.

Take the dog over to my sister's house one day. She has a cat with front claws intact. The cat is sitting on the couch. My dog decides to go screw with it. Cat starts swatting at the dog's nose. Dog can't figure out what is different about this cat, as his nose hurts. It took about 4 or 6 swipes of the nose before the dog backs off now sporting a very bloody nose.

Of course this was the same dog that got mixed up with a skunk in the backyard. After detecting the strong odor of skunk, I go, oh, oh, and look out back. I see the dog has a skunk cornered. The dog would go after the skunk, get sprayed, back off and shake his head, then go back for more. What a mess that was.
