The koolaid is the individual doctor trotted out as being sued for some minor issue. Most suits are against hospitals, pharmaceuticals and/or medical device manufacturers. The real players and the real money behind stripping you of your right to sue. A surgeon removing the wrong limb or leaving a tool inside you is rare but usually due to a facility with system wide bad practices. A facility that has hidden it's incompetence for a long time.
