Service to one's country is noble. Service in behalf of one's country on an ill-advised or stupid mission is, well, self-evident. My greatest regret about VN is that there weren't 58,000 more draft resisters.

As for Ted Nugent, I don't know diddly about him, but I believe he could have dodged the draft and still be a patriot. That should make sense to anyone with any serious thinking capacity. As for his being prez material, I don't know, but doubt it.
