I like the move, overall.

I thought Ducket was money in short yardage situations, but maybe the coaches will use Owen Schmitt with the heavy package. Some of us have the opinion that any back over 200# should be able to gain 2 yards. I also think that they did this because of the weaknesses with the line. I mean if you are going to have a mediocre OL then you should have a good pass-blocking RB and Edge is a way above average pass blocker. Hasslebeck will need plenty of protection this year.

I think Edge will be a good fit on passing downs (see above), and he is a good receiver. Sorry for Ducket because I liked him, but our strength yet again will be our passing game, because the talent is all there. We need protection to make it happen though.

Edge will be in on a lot of 2nd and 5 or less, or 3rd and long. He gives you a couple of dimensions that Duck did not posess.
