I was sent that video some time ago.

At this time in history I have mixed emotions about lion hunting.

First off , don't get me wrong.
I am a hunter.
I've killed the big predators of North America.
Grizzly, Kodiak Brown Bear, Wolf, Mountain Lion, Black Bears, bobcats, Coyotes , Fox, you name it with the exception of Polar Bear.

I love the creatures I pursue, be they big bucks, big tom mountain lions, steelhead or king salmon.

I love those big cats.

I would hunt leopard at the drop of a dime if I could afford it.
They are gorgeous creatures.
Possibly the most beautiful wild animal in existence IMHO.

They are plentiful and they able to kill you at lightning speed.
But again they are plentiful.

Big mature African Lions are in serious decline right now.
Fully mature cats with full manes are very difficult to obtain.
I feel for them right now.

Though they are tremendous creatures I think I'd take a pass on hunting them at this time.
I feel a little bit of pain when I see a big tom killed.
Kind of like killing a 30# native steelhead on the OP.
But that's just me.
