Marlin .444p 18.5"ported bbl. lever gun in like new condition. This gun is built on Marlins stout 1895 action, holds 5 rounds in the tube. The short & ported bbl. makes this a great west side brush gun for Elk or Blacktail. Their porting really works, keeps the muzzle almost on target even with hot 325 gr. reloads. A Leupold VX-II 1-4X 20mm scope in Leupold mounts sits on top, flip-up scope covers keep the rain off the lens till the last second, a nice padded case is included. The .444 marlin is a real thumper, I've pushed 240 gr. Hornaday XTP's to over 2450 fps (deer load) and the 325 gr. LBT hard cast heat treated solids to 2250 (elk load). If your not a reloader, Hornaday makes a Light Magnum fac. load that pushes their 265 gr. soft point bullet @ 2300 that whould be a great round for deer or elk.
