So it was the Democrats who balanced the budget and the GOP that ran up massive debt, or was it the GOP who balanced the budget and the Democrats who ran up massive debt?

Face it, 98% of you voted for President based on the D or the R next to the guy's name. Otherwise, you have jumped on the bandwagon with me and Andy and voted for Ron Paul. A little kooky, maybe, but the only one who wasn't a "meet the new boss, same as the old boss" kind of guy. I mostly blame the GOP for not making RP the nominee, and instead going with McCain, who I actually find to be as decent a man as you can be in Congress, and Sarah Palin, who couldn't find her own ass with two hands and a flashlight. The Palin VP choice was so preposterous that it scrubbed any chance of me voting for the GOP ticket.

And then there's Obama. Straight outta Chicago, where politicians tend to be as crooked as a dog's hind leg. A meteoric rise, with little track record to back it up. The VP choice was head and shoulders better than the opposition's choice, but still nothing to get excited about. But I didn't vote for Obama, because I felt that as the DNC poster child, he'd come in and pander to the left side of the party, who have always bugged me as a guy who mostly votes Democrat, but owns guns and likes to kill sh!t, and have people leave me the hell alone about what I eat/drink/smoke/shoot/wear/listen to. The Tipper Gores and Nancy Pelosis of the party rub me wrong.

So that's why I voted for RP. Me and 172 others nationwide. smile

And here we sit wondering why nothing's changed. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.
