Liz at NSIA wants to preserve her job at all costs. She has NO INTEREST in progress for the mainstem CR beucase that single issue keeps the NSIA funded and her paid..

Liz picked the un-movable object .. DAMS as the main focus for the NSIA... part of that was the infection of Buzz ramsey - who dreams of the falls coming back to the CR - part was the realization that A win on the CR gill net issue woudl limit the membership's enthuasim for the NSIA. A goal that can never be reached.. dam breaching on the CR.. will ensure a endless funding stream.

Regardless of what you think about the CCA's attempt.. and i agree its odd.. the NSIA is just attempting to preserve their cash cow (the continuation of nets in the CR) so the NSIA will never endorse anything that pushes the ball closer. So when critizing the NSIA keep that in mind

my proof : a few years back while at the Bouy-10 derby ( i was working the event for the NSIA) I was talking with Liz and the just removed ODFW head about commerical's in the CR. After several attempts to move me out of the room, Liz said "josh the NSIA is never been about nor will ever be about ending commerical fishing of anykind... so shut up about the dam nets" they both walked off after that.

i have witnesses to that conversation too..
