Sounds like they were on their way to a bbq. Goat is good eatin'. I had some street food which was goat on a stick rolled in 'peppa' (a dried scotch bonnet looking pepper) cooked over a bbq made from two rims and rebar after drinking enough beer with locals in Cameroon.
