I have a 40 hp Merc, 2003 model, two stroke, short shaft electric start remote with controls attached. Motor is nearly brand new. I filled the oil inj system when I bought and haven't used it enought to need to refill it!!
I repowered my 13 ft Boston Whaler with this motor, not realizing how much more power a new 40 has compared to an early 70's model which was on the boat. The reason I'm selling it is that it's way too much motor for the boat and I want to "trade" down to a 25.
The motor is essentially new. There are some scratches on the cowling and keel bottom.
Would consider a partial trade for a similar 25 hp short shaft, ESR.
