Sorry about the misfortune.

The bad news is that, no matter who you go through, you will be looking at higher premiums with two infractions on your records within a three year period. In fact, you may find as you shop around that some companies won't offer you a policy until your record is clear again.

The good news is that your existing insurance company has offered to keep you on, which is better than being dropped. Furthermore, while I can certainly appreciate that $1,000 is a lot of money, it's not really that much in terms of auto insurance hikes.
