I grew up with labs, and we never snipped them......watched them hump, fight, sniff ass instead of hunt, cruise the neighborhood, and 2 of them get hit by cars.

Married a dog lover, and I have snipped both of my labs since and I gotta admit they are much more healthy for it.....stick around the house, and both have been decent duck and pheasant hunters.
