Think of it this way. For all of us river fisherman we could plunk with one rod then use spinners or drift with the other one. Trolling 2 rods=twice the hook-ups. Trout fishing one pole w/ power bait and one fly rod. I will buy a second licence. i've fished in cali with 2 rods and sometimes you can barley keep one in. You can be very versatile with 2 rods. there are endless posibilities.
