Not sure what you mean by pooh ponds, but I am assuming you mean stocker lakes.

Pretty much anything that is leech-y or 3/8" long and brown will work. Just cast out and drag around, or strip it back in. Vary your retrieve until something works well.

Love taking my kids out dragging flies around, they get a ton of action from all sizes of trout.
