Congrats on your boat purchase! Like I read somewhere else in this forum BOAT means Break Out Another Thousand. You will be sinking (pardon the pun) a lot of money into your new boat until you get it just the way you like it.

As far as saltwater tackle goes here is what I use:

1. Start with a green or glow 11" Hot Spot dodger. What you put behind the dodger is up to you.

2. I like white/glow hoochies (great for Elliott Bay and south Sound) or 4.0 Coyote spoons behind my dodger about 20-30". If I am not catching fish on my first two choices then there are not any fish to be had. You can also use herring.

3. When you are out on the water and you see people catching fish ask them what they are using. Chances are they have found something that works in that particular body of water and use it.
