People watch too much C.S.I. & the like where hollywood shows that with the miracles of science that you don't need common sense to come to a verdict, that the overwhelming microscopic minutia will on it's own determine guilt or innocence.
The defense attty spun it to show that the prosecution needed this iron clad scientific proof otherwise Casey was innocent.
Come on for Christ's sake, the smell of rot in the trunk, a mom who doesn't report her only begotten child missing for over 30 days?....30 freakin days???????
Then hits the clubs partying just days after?
WTF?
I was sold on a guilty verdict on those acts alone.

There was a suspicion in my mind of molestation of Casey by her father however.
Did you see the seething hatred in Casey's eyes towards her father George?
Could she possibly hate her father badly enough to hurt him to the bone by killing his granddaughter?
Those questions really had no relevance to the charges regarding the murder in my mind though.

Were these jurors the same folks that had such a probem with the hanging chads back in 2000?
