Seems to me that Seattle has, in many ways, been pretty lucky with its sports teams, and folks associated with them. May not have won a lot of rings, but (and I am sure I'll miss a few)

Announcers like Blackburn, Dave, and Pete
Tuba man
Rick
Players who were not only good, but good citizens and gave back to the community such as Freddy Brown, Jamie Moyer, Alvin Davis, Steve Largent, and on and on.

When our son was being treated for a childhood cancer there was an annual Christmas Party put on for Children's Hospital clinic kids. Every year there were Seahawks and Seagals there to sign autographs, have pictures taken, and suchlike.

Personally, I would rather have a team that doesn't will all that much but uis made up of quality people than a collection of thugs.
