Something we agree on. Which is why I take my investing seriously and feel right now isn't a time you want your money on the sidelines. Timing is everything. I do supposedly have two pensions and many decades into SS but true financial freedom is having enough that you can take job loss, loss of all of that pension/SS stuff, etc and stay comfortable. I like to call it the Dave Vedder plateau. But this rug could be pulled on either one of us at any time. I've been through too many cycles to take any of it for granted. The big expense for retirees right now is Health Care which you and I would not agree on. I was raised in an era where we took care of those whom worked their entire lives as if they provided a service to their country. We are moving away from that into an every man for himself mentality which I feel isn't good for this country or it's people.
