An added note, the threatened Puget Sound Chinook ESU includes all naturally spawned chinook in Puget Sound from the Elwah River eastward as well as chinook from 26 artificial propagation programs. I think this includes most, if not all Puget Sound hatcheries and is a recognition that for many years hatchery strays and their offspring have been a major component of naturally spawning chinook.
