Over 5,000 students have attended his Saltwater Fishing classes at Highline, Bellevue and Green River Community Colleges and Salmon University. He is the featured saltwater expert at the west coast Boat Shows, International Sportsman's shows and seminars in the Northwest. Tom helped develop many of the techniques and lures used by West Coast sports anglers. He has written numerous articles for various NW outdoor publications.

South King County Puget Sound Anglers is pleased to announce that it has awarded Jordan Teller, a graduating senior from the Highline School District, its 2012 Marine Science Scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded each year to a high school senior who has graduated from the Puget Sound Skills Center Marine Technology program and plans to pursue a career in the field of Marine Science or Fisheries.
"We believe one of the key elements in improving fisheries in the Pacific Northwest is through educating a new generation of youth dedicated to the resource" said Bill Lee Director. The scholarship provides up to $2000 for recipients first two years of college.
Jordan, who is graduating with a 3.0 GPA plans to attend Oregon Coast Community College majoring in Aquarium Science. She will be formaly presented with the scholarship at the South King County Puget Sound Anglers June 20th meeting.
South King County PSA will once again sponsor two to four of our Youngsters to the Washington State Youth Conservation Camp. The camp is for Boys and Girls ages 12 to 16. Applications must be received by June board meeting.
Applicants for the South King County PSA sponsorship:
All campers must be at least 12 years old by July 1st 2011 and have not reached their 17th birthday prior to the onset of camp.
• Must be a relative of a paid South King County PSA member
• Complete the application.
• Submit a 250 word or less essay explaining why you should be selected as our representative to the camp.
• Girls Camp July 15-21
• Boys Camp July 22-28
Did you know Tom Pollack attended the camp when he was a youngster! (1955)This is an experience these young folks will carry for their whole life. What a great learning experience.
