Stop screaming at your slow laptop and check out the new Sequoia supercomputer from IBM, which has claimed the honor of being the world's fastest calculating machine. The California übersystem weighs the equivalent of 30 elephants and can perform 16.3 quadrillion calculations per second. To put that into average Joe context, it means Sequoia can calculate in one hour what would otherwise take 6.7 billion people 320 years to complete if they worked nonstop on hand calculators. Pretty useful for students taking their SATs, if a little difficult to smuggle into the testing room.
