40lb braid for float fishing or jig twitching 50lb braid for bobber dogging.

no rod breakage because im not an idiot and dont have my drag set so tight it will break my rod! and on top of that, i use a leader under my float to whatever i have rigged on there.

oh and i will never use 20lb braid because of the wear the thinner braid has on guide inserts.

anything less then 40lb braid on a bait caster and ive had severe problems with the line burying deep into the spool!!!



super slick 8 brown and green (using both, havent decided which i like more) more abrasion resistant and line slides through the float quicker.

diawa t3, diawa lexa, quantum kvd tour, revo stx, and a shimano curado 200 D series all with braid. as reels break i am switching everything over to mostly diawa, unless someone makes something that can compete.
