Sure takes the luster off his shine. And even tho he cheated, since all the contenders dope, he still won on a level playing field. Kinda' weird that way. He likely still would have won if none of the contenders doped, but since they do, so did he. Looks like pro cyclists have to sacrifice their integrity as part of the price to be a world class contender. That's quite a price because the vast majority don't make millions. They barely make a living on a lot of pro teams.

I wonder if doping is as prevalent in other sports, or if the extreme oxygen requirements of endurance cycling make it more likely for cyclists to dope than athletes in other sports.
