andy, do you have the "watch d.o.g.s." program at your school? I think it's a great program for both the students and fathers/grandfathers/male role models. we have one at lindsey's school pretty much everyday. you get to spend time in classrooms, help students with extra help, fix classroom stuff, and play with the kids at recess. It's not a "security" thing, per se, but it's a very postive experience worth checking out. it's a national program. I've done it every year at least 1 day, usually 2. I usually do it around lindsey's birthday.

We have class parents, usually moms, who are in the classroom on a regular basis. I usally act as a chaperone for field trips every year. Those days are a hoot. I wish I could make it to more visitor lunches. Ryan has a bunch of funny friends.

I can run that by the Superintendant. Looks like a neat program.
