Overall, it seems like the Scotty pullers aren't well-liked, even by people that love their Scotty downriggers.

With regards to the Ace, I did have one person mention that theirs is extremely slow when pulling heavy pots (not sure how heavy but I believe they are the standard weighted Landner-type) and almost needs help in hauling rope. Has anyone else had this problem?
