Ford/Chevy debate should be saved for Yam/Hon/Merc... E-Tec doesn't deserve that kind of respect.

I've been on the E-Tec owners group site long enough to know that all problems are either wrong prop or your TPS needs to be adjusted, blah blah blah. At least that's what the problem solvers want you to believe. Any engine that fickle needs a home in someone else's driveway.

I bought one because the price was good and the local Yamaha dealer pissed me off to the point of going a complete different direction. Sold the package a year later for a pretty good profit which I was fortunate to be able to do. Never again.

I do know from my time spent on that forum that BRP is pretty good about taking care of its customers. Even stuff after the warranty has expired will get serious consideration. Hopefully that is the case here.
